How long do bed bases last?
Most mattresses are replaced every 6-8 years, in most cases the base is usually just as old. This could mean that the technology used in the base (especially in sprung bases) may be out of date whilst the condition of its components are no longer in the best state.
Do your mattresses work with all bed bases?
In short, yes. But a worn out frame can affect how a mattress feels, so we recommend checking the condition of yours before you buy a Bedtime.co.uk mattress. The type of bed frame may affect the feel of a mattress. If it has wooden slats, these will be nice and supportive for our range of mattresses’ medium firm feel, whereas box springs might create a softer feel. The bed frame should also be completely flat with no sag which will best support the mattress.
Do bedframes come with a mattress included?
None of our bedframes include a mattress unless specifically stated.
Can mattresses be recycled & where?
In many cases recycling your old mattress can be labour-intensive, that being said, over the last few years more facilities specialising in mattress recycling have sprung up in the UK.
Where can mattresses be donated?
Many charities are calling out for ‘preloved’ products to help those in need, mattresses included. However, due to health & safety and hygiene reasons some charities may not accept donated mattresses.
What is a no-turn mattress?
A no-turn mattress is a single side which is padded or upholstered for sleeping on, while the other side has a plain design with a non-slip surface
